1st barter of the day was a bit earlier at a Frozen Yogurt place on Market. I bartered a BIC pen (only half as cool as Tessa's).
2nd barter. Safeway. The couple behind me in line. An orange caravener. I thought it was quite the barter.
3rd barter. A small black Bic lighter (which could be invaluable on a night when people are out and about).
4th barter. A larger, baby blue Bic lighter with more fuel.
5th barter. A large ORANGE Bic lighter (way cooler than the baby blue one, he assured me)
6th and my final barter for the night. A 7/8 full bottle of antibacterial hand sanitizer.
My friend commented that I now need to start prodding people to take me to the next level of bartering. Either way, I think the house is on the way.
Question: Did you tell people you were in a competition or not?
ReplyDeleteEither way, very impressive.
Yeah, I did (I thought that was fair game).
ReplyDeleteAlso, I think I am going to start lying and say (to every person that I barter with) that the competition ends in 2 days (just so they feel obliged to give me bigger and better stuff). That being said, I am not sure if I should share the secrets of my bartering skillz....oh well, I really like you all.
Okay. Now that we can say it is a competition the bartering is on a whole different level. Watch out.
